Invitation Ticket and Program of Fashion Week in Moscow

The concept of the Fashion Week in Moscow is based on the experiences of the world Fashion Weeks in Paris, New York, London, and Milan.

According to the format of the Fashion Week in Moscow there will be daily designer’s defiles, which traditionally gather newsmakers. Along with that, the designers will present their new collections in the exhibition show-rooms. Such form of the collections’ presentation attracts to the Fashion Week hundreds of buyers and representatives of industrial companies – producers of fabrics, accessories and ready-made clothes. The week has provided the ground for business meetings and helped signing numerous contracts.

The legendary project of the Russian fashion industry traces its history from 1994. In 1994, in Moscow there was held a unique event for those days in Russia – the Week of Haute Couture, which was attended by stars of the first rank. The grand event, the date of which may be considered the birthday of the Russian fashion industry, was organized by the Association of Haute Couture and prêt-a-porte, created for the promotion and development of the domestic fashion. During ten years at the Week of Haute Couture at the State Concert Hall “Rossiya” models of haute couture created by Russian designers and leading world houses were exhibited. Starting from 2003, the Week has changed its format – it is now held twice a year, at the end of March and at the end of October, and presents clothing of the pret-a-porte class. The base of the new format consists of the ready-to-wear clothing of the pret-a-porte and pret-a-porte-de-luxe classes. The main objective of the Week is to help developing the fashion industry in Russia, to carry out the promotion of Russian designers, and to present the best samples of the world’s fashion on podium.

The Fashion Week opened to the broad public the names of such talented designers as Igor Chapurin, Andrei Sharov, Tatiana Parfenova, Victoria Andreyanova, Lyuda Dobrokhotova, Daria Razumikhina, Olga Kameneva, Natasha Drigant, Sergei Yefremov and others. The base of the Week’s participants is made by the members of the Russian Association of Haute Couture and pret-a-porte. They are the ones who formulate at the present time the face of the Russian fashion, they determine how the Russian designers school should look like; their collections are presented in the most prestigious boutiques.
