December 12-19, 2013. Traveling to Israel
From December 12 till December 19 of 2013, a journey to Israel is planned. Slava Kim will be our guide, and he will be helped by Alexander Schtilman.
The program of the trip is as follows:
- Visiting the world’s largest eroded crater in the country’s south, Makhtesh Ramon.
- Studying the starry sky and spending a night in the Negev desert. Visiting a Nabataean caravanserai of Han-Saronim.
- Trip to Mount Karkum, which is believed to be the authentic place, where the Lord gave Moses the Tablets of the Covenant. Viewing cave paintings of the ancient man.
- Tasting wines in the Carmey Avdat winery. Excursion to the ancient Nabataean city and reserve Avdat.
- Pilgrimage to Jerusalem and studying the history of the most ancient city on earth.
- Trip to the north of Israel. Tour of the olive oil plant and Ararit village, excursion to the Silesian Monastery.
- Master-class from a vegan chef teaching how to cook vegetarian dishes in Kibbutz Amirim.
- Attending the museum of Yarmukian culture and visiting a Crusader Belvoir Fortress.
